Situation on the front is heated, with 57 clashes between Ukrainian and Russian forces over the course of today

Ukrainian forces clashed with Russian forces 57 times, with the latter carrying out 7 missile strikes and 54 airstrikes on Sunday, 15 October, the General Staff of the Armed Forces reported. The situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains tense.


Joe Biden plans to propose to the US Congress to combine aid packages for Ukraine and Israel

US President Joe Biden is planning to propose to the US Congress that it approve a joint aid package for Ukraine and Israel. White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan says this in an interview. He says the package will be "significantly higher" than $2 billion.


Ambassador of Ukraine sends a note of protest to Israel over the withdrawal of the evacuation permit from Gaza

On October 14, from 12:00 to 17:00, an evacuation corridor was to be opened through the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. "Two hours before the evacuation, the Israeli Foreign Ministry inexplicably announced that they could not guarantee security and were withdrawing the permit," said Dmytro Lubinets. Ukraine's Ambassador to Israel, Yevhen Korniichuk, has sent an official note of protest to Israel.


Over 5,000 human rights violations recorded in Crimea during years of Russian occupation

Over 5,000 human rights violations have been recorded in Crimea since the beginning of the Russian occupation in 2014 – most of them concerned Crimean Tatars. About 70,000 people have left Crimea since the occupation began, and over 700,000 have arrived from Russia.
