Russians launch active offensive at Kupiansk and Lyman directions

The Russian army has recovered from its losses and launched an active offensive near Makiivka in the Donetsk region and in the Kupiansk direction in the Kharkiv region. Heavy fighting is ongoing. This was reported by Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Ukrainian Army.


Ukrainian defenders kill almost 1,000 Russian soldiers in one day

The Russian occupying forces lost another 970 soldiers on 13 October. General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported about 24 armored combat vehicles and 26 artillery systems destroyed.


Russian tugboat damaged along with Pavel Derzhavin vessel – Ukrainian Navy

The Ukrainian Navy has clarified that the Pavel Derzhavin, a patrol vessel of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, was attacked twice. Besides it, the multipurpose tugboat Professor Nikolai Muru was damaged. This was reported by Captain 3rd Rank Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy.


Ukraine could have four million veterans after the war

Once the war with Russia finally concludes, Ukraine could be dealing with as many as four million veterans, Ukrainian Veterans Affairs Minister Yulia Laputina said in an interview.


Hamas thanks Putin for his position

Hamas, the Islamic group that governs Gaza, said on Saturday morning that it welcomed Russia's "tireless efforts aimed at stopping Israel's aggression" against the militants. "We appreciate Russian President Vladimir Putin's position regarding the ongoing Zionist aggression against our people and his rejection of the Gaza siege, the cutting of relief supplies, and the targeting of safe civilians there," the statement reads.


Wall Street Journal: Hamas received millions of dollars through Moscow-based crypto exchange

The Wall Street Journal reported that last year, the US imposed sanctions on a Moscow-based cryptocurrency exchange to prevent Russian citizens from circumventing the financial restrictions imposed after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. However, Garantex became the main channel Russian citizens use to move money in and out of the country. "Digital wallets controlled by Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which joined Hamas in the attacks, received a portion of $93 million via Garantex," the report reads.
